Minor fixes and a first approach to testing code

Just in time with the start of spring in northern Germany I happened to take another week of holiday for working on PyCAM again.

Da unser altes Nutenbrett eine leichte Schräglage aufwies, wurde es nun Zeit, ein neues Konzept anzuwenden. Dies sollte auch eine punktuelle Nachjustierung erlauben und somit eine höhere Präzision der Z-Achse bei großen Objekten ermöglichen. Read more »

Um der weiteren Verbreitung des Sonnenschlüsselanhängers nicht länger im Wege zu stehen, wurden die Werkzeugpfade eben unter der Creative Commons Lizenz share-alike bei thingiverse reingestellt.

Wer sich zur Geschichte des Anarchismus in Theorie und Praxis belesen möchte hat es bei Debian leicht.

Und für vergessliche Menschen haben wir den Kommandozeilenbefehl in ein Frühstückbrettchen gelasert.

Kleine Anekdote am Rande: das anarchism-Paket ist in der Debian Distribution, weil auch die Bibel enthalten ist – quasi als Ergänzung. Löschanträge für eines der Pakete werden regelmäßig mit der Begründung abgelehnt, dass das andere dann auch gelöscht werden müsste.

PyCAM is – as the name implies – based on the scripting language Python. Python is a very efficient tool from the developer’s point of view: even complicated features can be implemented quickly and cleanly in a structured way. The downside of this ease of development can be a source of annoyance for users: number crunching applications are not as ressource efficient as their compiled counterparts.
